Kristin's Movie Poster Invitations

Kristin was referred to me through Anne Ruthmann of Anne Ruthmann Photography, and she was in touch to inquire about my design services for her wedding invitations. Kristin and her fiancé Tyson were interested in having their wedding invitations look like a movie poster, and mailing to their guests within a poster tube - how cool! They had this movie theme idea in mind when Anne did their engagement photo shoot, and the two pictures that Kristin was thinking of incorporating were absolutely stunning.

I came up with several options incorporating both of her photos and pairing with various movie titles, and Kristin and Tyson selected one that featured their wedding colors and the title "K-I-S-S-I-N-G" - very fitting for the photo :) I printed the final movie poster invitation design on 11x14" paper, and created several inserts that tied to the movie theme. Kristin's RSVP postcard was made to look like an event ticket, and before guests could return the card, they would have to cut along the dotted line to hold onto their "ticket stub" with basic wedding details. Her wedding day timeline was created to look like a movie filmstrip of images that represented the day's main events, and the invitation set was complete with custom mailing labels that were used to dress up the white mailing tubes.
