We utilized the phrase They Will Say, "I Do" on the front of the black STD cards and the phrase Say You Will on the white magnets. They also asked to have a wedding monogram created for the back of the cards and for their address labels. The resulting Save The Dates are bold, witty and intriguing, yet still have the formal elegant look that they wanted.

Cindy & Patrick : Save The Dates
Cindy and Patrick contacted me about designing their wedding Save The Date cards, magnets and return address labels, which they were planning to print through VistaPrint. Inspired by an award winning ad campaign for Loyola University Chicago, they wanted to incorporate a similar format on their Save The Dates. However, they wanted to be sure everything would still look wedding-esque.

Kristin's Wedding Day Accents
Kristin and her fiancé Tyson needed a variety of paper accents for her wedding reception. My goal was to make sure that some of the design elements from her unique movie poster invitation carried through to her extras in order to achieve one cohesive look.
They wanted to create LOVE-themed CDs for their guests to enjoy while making their way from the ceremony to the reception. Using more of their ultra-fab engagement photos by Anne Ruthmann, I designed CD inserts and labels in rich shades of blue/green and chocolate brown, and also created a married monogram for them that appears on the front cover and CD label.
Kristin and Tyson took on an ambitious task of building a 6-foot tall paper maché tree that would serve as their card box, and no doubt make a fantastic statement. They found a poem online that they wanted to display with the tree they were building.
I printed the poem using a script font that was used throughout their stationery, added a graphic of two kissing birds in a tree and left room at the top so Kristin could add ribbon and hang from one of the tree's branches. I can't wait to see pictures of the finished tree!
Kristin's reception venue required placecards as a way to indicate meal choice. Kristin had a vision of how she wanted her placecards to look - with guest names wrapping around a "W" - the first initial of Tyson's last/Kristin's future last name. As a way to differentiate, I changed the color of the "W" initial to display each guest's choice of meal.
Custom mad-lib and movie love quotes crossword cards will provide some fun and entertainment as guests first arrive to the reception.
Post-Wedding Party Invitations
Kristin and Tyson's wedding day is going to be fairly small and intimate, spent with just their immediate families. They are going to have a post-wedding celebration after their honeymoon that will be spent with a more extended group of family and friends. Kristin asked if I would be up for designing invitations that featured a photo from their engagement shoot (photography by Anne Ruthmann Photography). Of course I said yes!
I came up with this card design with their fun celebration at Dave & Buster's in mind, and Kristin loved the stripes and funky typewriter font. We incorporated a line on the front of the card that tied the story of how they first met to the photo shown. In addition to the card creation, white envelopes with blue/green stripe accents were printed with the return/guest addresses. Kristin also added a custom photo stamp.

Kristin's Movie Poster Invitations
Kristin was referred to me through Anne Ruthmann of Anne Ruthmann Photography, and she was in touch to inquire about my design services for her wedding invitations. Kristin and her fiancé Tyson were interested in having their wedding invitations look like a movie poster, and mailing to their guests within a poster tube - how cool! They had this movie theme idea in mind when Anne did their engagement photo shoot, and the two pictures that Kristin was thinking of incorporating were absolutely stunning.
I came up with several options incorporating both of her photos and pairing with various movie titles, and Kristin and Tyson selected one that featured their wedding colors and the title "K-I-S-S-I-N-G" - very fitting for the photo :) I printed the final movie poster invitation design on 11x14" paper, and created several inserts that tied to the movie theme. Kristin's RSVP postcard was made to look like an event ticket, and before guests could return the card, they would have to cut along the dotted line to hold onto their "ticket stub" with basic wedding details. Her wedding day timeline was created to look like a movie filmstrip of images that represented the day's main events, and the invitation set was complete with custom mailing labels that were used to dress up the white mailing tubes.
