Kristin's Wedding Day Accents

Kristin and her fiancé Tyson needed a variety of paper accents for her wedding reception. My goal was to make sure that some of the design elements from her unique movie poster invitation carried through to her extras in order to achieve one cohesive look. They wanted to create LOVE-themed CDs for their guests to enjoy while making their way from the ceremony to the reception. Using more of their ultra-fab engagement photos by Anne Ruthmann, I designed CD inserts and labels in rich shades of blue/green and chocolate brown, and also created a married monogram for them that appears on the front cover and CD label. Kristin and Tyson took on an ambitious task of building a 6-foot tall paper maché tree that would serve as their card box, and no doubt make a fantastic statement. They found a poem online that they wanted to display with the tree they were building. I printed the poem using a script font that was used throughout their stationery, added a graphic of two kissing birds in a tree and left room at the top so Kristin could add ribbon and hang from one of the tree's branches. I can't wait to see pictures of the finished tree! Kristin's reception venue required placecards as a way to indicate meal choice. Kristin had a vision of how she wanted her placecards to look - with guest names wrapping around a "W" - the first initial of Tyson's last/Kristin's future last name. As a way to differentiate, I changed the color of the "W" initial to display each guest's choice of meal. Custom mad-lib and movie love quotes crossword cards will provide some fun and entertainment as guests first arrive to the reception.
