Laura's Wedding Invitations
Laura sent me this inspiration board to help me visualize her vintage typewriter wedding theme and modern black, white & grass green color palette. She wanted her wedding invitations to be a reflection of this style and theme, and she also wanted to personalize the invitations by incorporating an engagement photo and a Madlibs format for all of the wording. Needless to say, I couldn't wait to get started on design concepts!
The invitation itself was designed to be a folded card featuring their engagement photo and quote on the front and a black damask design with their monogram on the back. Engagement photo by Laurie Peacock Photography
Inside the folded card is the Madlibs style invitation.
And the Madlibs response card gives their guests the opportunity to have some fun with wording!
Envelopes were dressed up in damask to coordinate with the rest of the invitation set.
Laura has a fabulous blog devoted to wedding planning. So fabulous that she is also a featured Weddingbee.com "bee"! If you would like to see more of her inspiring wedding plans and helpful planning tips, click here to visit her blog site.

Kathleen - these are awesome! Fantastic job! :)
love, love, love this....GREAT JOB Kathleen!
Ahh, I love my invites!! I just can't wait to see them in person...
USPS claims they were delivered to my home on Saturday (they weren't). Fingers crossed they arrive today, or you'll be receiving a frantic email from me this week for a reprint! Drama :)
Oh no, Laura! They are USPS insured, so we can file a claim if needed. At least time is on our side, but I know you want to see them!!! I'll email you...
Wow - this is a great concept and a wonderful invitation set.
Great job!
