Announcing Maxwell James!

You may have noticed a recent lag in my blog posts. I limited my order availability this fall as my husband and I moved to a new home {still in progress} and awaited the birth of our first baby. Our little man, Maxwell James, arrived on October 21st. He is healthy and handsome, and we are so thankful!

My blog posts and availability for immediate custom orders will continue to be light through the end of the year with the new baby, however, I will be busy behind the scenes working on 2011 orders very soon. And I'm looking forward to sharing those with you!

While my availability for custom orders is limited the next couple months, be sure to check out the Plush Paper Design Shop for TONS of holiday, wedding, baby invitations, cards and stationery options that can be customized and ordered directly through the site.

Dominic's Birth Announcement

The Galea family recently expanded with the birth of their son Dominic. I created a folded announcement for him that included a photo of their daughter and new son's feet on the front, with Dominic's photo and stats on the inside.

Anna & Matthew : Wedding Day Accents

For Anna and Matthew's wedding day, I created a number of paper accents that coordinated with their ivory, chocolate brown and copper wedding invitations. Their monogram and overlapping leaf motif carried through all of the designs.

Anna wanted something unique and special for the programs and this booklet style worked well for the ceremony information that was included on the inside pages.

A vellum unity candle wrap that Anna assembled with ivory ribbon

Layered menu cards for each guest's place setting

Table cards named after different types of trees

Flat escort cards that Anna plans to assemble with acorns - love!

Stephanie & Michael : Wedding Day Accents

I created a few items for Stephanie and Michael's upcoming wedding day that coordinate with their fall-themed wedding invitations.

Layered table cards named after places where Stephanie and Michael have traveled. These feature an evolved version of the monogram used on their wedding invitations - now with an "L" for their married last name. Accented with a falling leaf and scrolls.

Escort cards with tented copper backing

Monogrammed favor tags

Jamie's Baby Shower Invitations

Jamie's baby shower invitations feature a baby and mother giraffe. The design style was inspired by some of the items on her registry - soft colors, textures and patterns. I also added a hand-stitched border detail because Jamie has some serious sewing skills. Check out some of her work here.

The back - invitation details with silhouettes of the giraffes

White felt envelopes with guest address printing

Stephanie & Jason : Wedding Day Accents

After creating their wedding invitations, I also had the pleasure of working with Stephanie and Jason on their ceremony programs, table numbers, escort cards, thank you notes and water bottle labels for the out-of-town gift bags. The charcoal gray, powder blue and plum colors and rose motif carried through to all of these items.

Folded sheet programs

Tented table number cards

Escort cards - we did three different colors to indicate the choice of dinner

Folded thank you notes & envelopes

Water bottle labels with their wedding monogram

Jessica & Marc : Save the Dates

For Jessica & Marc's June 2011 wedding, I created save the date postcards that incorporated their favorite engagement photo with a wedding monogram and vintage flourish details.

Many of their guests will be travelling in from out of town, so they included accommodations information and their wedding website on the reverse side of the card.

Custom postage stamps with their monogram were designed to complete the look!

Anna & Matthew : Wedding Invitations

Anna and I have been in touch for several months discussing and trying out different invitation designs for her fall-themed wedding. The design she chose pairs a classic script typestyle with a motif of two overlapping leaves, in rich autumn orange and red. And she is my third 2010 wedding client to request a z-card format invitation, it has been a very popular choice!

Copper mailing envelope printed with guest and return addresses, and accented with the leaves motif

Amber & Keiland : Wedding Day Accents

For Amber & Keiland's wedding day, I created square booklet ceremony programs with a soft gold watermark of their engagement photos on front & back covers, and holes for an antique gold accent ribbon.

Other paper accents included a unity candle wrap with 'A' & 'K' monogram wraps for the tapers, a memory candle wrap, and various reception cards that were all placed in frames - family photo card, photobooth card, bar card and table number cards.

Amber and Keiland are celebrating their wedding as I'm posting this...congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs!

Baby Shower Invitations

Today is a very exciting day, it's my baby shower! For those of you who haven't seen me with my bump, I am 7 months pregnant and my husband and I are expecting our first baby {a boy} early October :) I wasn't sure if I should offer to create the invitations for my own shower, but...it's what I do, and the invitations are now a much more personal keepsake for our son's baby book.

The invitations are a panel format on felt-textured paper with a modern 'baby' mobile design in shades of orange, blue, yellow and green. Warm gray envelopes are dressed up with patterned liners {LOVE} and custom postage stamps.

I also designed coordinating thank you notes

Nadia & Ryan : Wedding Day Accents

Nadia and Ryan's music theme carried through to all of their wedding day extras.

The musical score and verse 'Together we laugh, love and dream and on this day we marry' from their wedding invitations appears on their ceremony programs and seating poster.

Album cover cards were created as names for the tables

Tented placecards with guest and table names

Tented Order of the Day cards include the flow of the wedding day and the menu

The back of the cards features a fun music-themed crossword for guests. Nadia created this on her own and included many of her family members and guests (who are in the music industry) within the puzzle. I love this personal touch!
